Bathroom renovation Part 1

It all started with…..

We moved into a new (old) house in summer 2021. The house was built in 1938 and while overall it is in good condition, we are finding that there are some things that need some TLC. The main bathroom was on the list of things to update in 2022, but the hole made it happen faster.

Below are some of our ideas and I will document the renovation process.

This is the vanity unit we are ordering- and it will have the black accessories with a similar mirror and lighting.
Retro porcelain subway tiles in matte white for behind the bath… and maybe the vanity.
0.5′ wide edging tiles for around the bath,
12″ x 24″ porcelain stone look floor tiles.

At the moment, we are thinking of using white or very light grey paint on the walls and a nice potted plant to add some green. The bathroom is not very big so we want to keep it as light as possible.

For resale value, we need to keep the bath, and because of the small space and sloping roof, we are having to keep the configuration the same.

This is what we are starting with. We also plan to open up the cupboard and have wooden shelving to match the wood of the vanity unit.

Wish us luck………
